Manuel Antonio is a nature preserve and beach. Full of monkeys, sloths, and 2-foot long green iguanas on the beach, as shown below.
I stayed at a hotel/resort named “Sí Como No” (“Sure why not”). Its restaurant is named “Claro que sí” (“Yes of course”).
Costa Rica is definitely beautiful, and not overrated. But it does have a West Palm Beach or Carmel vibe, due to all the money. I wouldn't be surprised if most of the resorts here are owned by New York hedge funds.
Costa Rica seems to do an exemplary job of protecting their environment.
