Quito, Ecuador

Quito is about 9,300' of elevation - about the same as Cripple Creek, Colorado.  There is also a gondola up to about 13k' for some nice views, especially of Cotopaxi (19,347').  Quito is dry and cool in January.  You might want a light jacket.
