Esquipulas, Guatemala

Did not make it to the Honduras border in time to cross at a decent hour so I stopped in Esquipulas Guatemala, on the border. I had never heard of it but it turns out to be a very nice little town with a huge church across the street from my hotel. The Hotel Payaqui ($38) is old, but very clean, safe, with secure parking, and an excellent restaurant.
